That’s when, traditionally in this country, that enjoyable outdoor lifestyle comes abruptly to an end, and we all head indoors. The festival season’s almost over, the outdoor dining tables are stashed away till Spring, all the weddings and parties take place in stuffy halls and function suites and stretch tents for hire are the last thing anyone’s thinking about – except us, of course.
The thing is – and OK, obviously we are a bit biased… Things really don’t have to be that way. We’re here to sing the praises of living life alfresco – albeit with the protection of a stylish and stunning stretch tent. The fact is, it just doesn’t get as cold in the UK as it used to. And with every month turning out to the hottest on record, there’s little doubt that this is because of global warming. Let’s be clear – we’re not trivialising the momentous implications of the climate crisis by saying it’s handy for the outdoor event’s industry. But it is true that we can expect mild weather through the Autumn – and the weatheroutlook.com site confirms that “warmer than average seasons have been common in the UK during recent years. All months so far in 2023 have been warmer than the average. In 2022 only December was colder than average”.
Added to that, they point out that there’s a 90% chance of El Niño conditions throughout Autumn and Winter, which mean more chance of mild but windy weather. The conclusion is that there’s a ‘strong signal for temperatures to be above the average’ this Autumn and Winter – and indications that it’ll be wetter than average, too.
That’s where we pitch our argument for stretch tent events all year round! If you’re planning a wedding, birthday or anniversary bash, business event or even a Christmas party for the Autumn and Winter months, don’t discount the joys of partying in the fresh air. It’s not called ‘the Great Outdoors’ for nothing – you can hold your event almost anywhere because stretch tents take the toughest terrain in their stride, literally stretching and swerving to adapt to the most awkwardly shaped settings with ease. Their open, Bedouin tent-inspired design literally gives your guests room to breathe, with the sense of being outdoors yet totally covered too.
Made of super-strong, stretchy three-ply material, they’re impervious to the heaviest rain, and the water runs straight off those voluptuous curves. Finally, having pointed out that we can expect a fairly mild Autumn and Winter, we do understand that lots of people worry that any kind of tent might be chilly. Which is why we never tire of pointing out that stretch tents may look cool – but they’re also amazingly warm and cosy in the worst Winter weather, just by adding skirts, side panels, doors, and even heating!
Life’s more exciting in the great outdoors – especially in the warm and dry.
